Firmware 2.53 brings with it mainly bug fixes but what is of note are the modifications to the flash support in the PS3 Web browser. Improvements in it's compatibility mean that more sites heavy in flash should work better and as an added bonus the Web Browser now supports full screen flash viewing.
This is great news for anyone who watches YouTube videos on their PS3 as well as those like me that watch the BBC's iPlayer on your TV.
